Many parents — especially with a first-time traveller — want to know their child is five minutes away. With Family Package, you are on the same campus. You share breakfast, you share dinner, you share the evening.

You can't leave your younger children at home

Your main camper is 10, but you also have a 4-year-old. Leaving a toddler home isn't an option. With Family Package, your younger children travel with you and stay in the family room — priced simply as additional guests. The whole family comes.

You are travelling with siblings of very different ages

One child in the main Oxford English camp, one younger sibling with you, grandparents along — Family Package accommodates the whole group on one campus, in connected family rooms where needed.

You want a real vacation for yourself, close to your child

Spa, beach, wine tours, Varna's old town — all while your Oxford camper is in class from 9 to 17. You have seven hours to yourself every weekday. You are never more than a ten-minute walk away.

How it works – two options

Family Together

Parents and main camper (and any younger siblings) share a family room in the VIEC villa-style hotel, five minutes from the beach.

Child attends Oxford English day programme 09:00–17:00: English lessons, sport, sea activities, excursions. Younger siblings stay with parent.

Evenings, nights and weekends — always together as a family.

Best for: first-time campers, families with younger siblings, parents who prefer to be close.

Family Nearby

Main camper lives full-time on the main VIEC campus with peers (ages 10+) — the full residential camp experience.

Parents (and any younger siblings) stay in a private villa-style hotel room inside the same campus perimeter, five minutes away.

Unlimited visits during the day, shared dinners on request — but the main camper gets the full residential experience.

Best for: teens (12–17) ready for residential independence, parents who want peace of mind without interfering.

Family Package is built around one simple rule: the family travels together. Younger children who are not old enough for the main Oxford Summer camp (under 7) stay with parents in the family room, priced as additional guests — no separate fees, no separate programme.

During the day, while the main camper is in class, younger children are with their parents. The campus is fully enclosed, 24/7 secured, with a pool, a private beach and a family restaurant — everything a parent with a toddler needs. No one is left home. No one is too small.

Pricing: +€45 per night for a 3rd person in the room. +€35 per night for a 4th person.

Peter McLaughlin is Academic Director at VIEC, with over 20 years in senior roles at some of the UK's most respected educational institutions.

A Cambridge graduate, Peter has served as Principal of CATS Cambridge and Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts, Centre Director of ONCAMPUS London at Birkbeck, University of London (650 students) and Director of University Partnerships & Progression at Cambridge Education Group. Thousands of his students have progressed to LSE, UCL, King's College London, Russell Group universities, Oxbridge and leading European universities — including pathways into medicine, business and law.

Fourteen nights.

No — Family Package is a package built around a main Oxford English camper. At least one child in the family must be enrolled in the main summer school (ages 7–17).

No formal programme — younger children are with you during the day. The campus is fully enclosed and family-friendly (pool, beach, restaurant, cots on request), but lessons, activities and structured care are for the main camper only. This keeps the Family Package price simple and the booking straightforward.

Not routinely — classes are child-only for full English immersion — but you can observe on scheduled parents' days.
