About VIEC

A British-run education centre on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, in ongoing partnership with Oxford International Study Centre. Children aged 7 to 17, from more than 30 countries, learn here – on campus and online, throughout the year. Specialist teachers, small groups, and an international community where English is the shared language.

The multiplier

Oxford English is the core of everything at VIEC. Sport, leadership, and art are how children put it to use – so English is never just a subject on a timetable; it's how the whole place works.

Children leave with more than better English – with projects, performances, and work they can show. Every programme ends with a certificate that can strengthen a portfolio for European university applications.

Juliet Brady

Juliet Brady

Principal Designate

As Principal Designate, Juliet leads the teaching team at VIEC. She has taught English and the performing arts for over fifteen years across London, Prague and international summer camps, including multinational groups. She holds a TrinityCert TESOL, a BA (Honours) in History of Art from the University of Leeds, and a Distinction-graded Diploma in Dance Teaching from Trinity Laban, with further qualifications in dance leadership. She is currently training with Move Assure, founded by Dame Darcey Bussell, in movement for wellbeing and positive mental health.

Andrea Gori

English Teacher

Andrea has taught English at the British Council since 2022, working with children and teenagers aged 9–19. He holds a CELTA from International House Milan and a Master's from IULM, and has taught summer courses in Edinburgh. He teaches to British Council standards and speaks English at C2 level.

Dan McLean

English Teacher

Dan is a native English speaker with fifteen years' teaching experience in the UK and across Europe. He works patiently with learners of every level and holds a TrinityCert TESOL and a BA from Kingston University London. Alongside teaching he is a musician, playing bass and acoustic guitar.

Danielle is a fully state-certified teacher of English and English as a Second Language, licensed to teach children in Pennsylvania and Virginia (PreK to grade 12). She studied Secondary Education at Penn State University and holds a Master's in Education from University College London, awarded with Merit.

Svetoslav Georgiev

Svetoslav Georgiev

Sport & Music

Svetoslav played professional football in Bulgaria, Sweden and Norway before moving into coaching. He now works with children and teenagers as a football and volleyball coach and PE teacher, and leads group fitness sessions. A guitarist and singer, he reached the finals of The Voice of Bulgaria in 2020.

Mila Marinova

English & Dance Teacher

Mila teaches English to children and teenagers (A1–C1) and brings a background in art and design to her lessons. She holds a BA (Honours) in Art and Design from the University of Bedfordshire and is CAE-certified in English. At the French International School of Varna she was praised for pairing high standards with genuine kindness.

Denitsa Chen

Denitsa Chen

Art Teacher

Denitsa teaches art at camp, bringing together drawing, design and digital media. She is studying sound and media design at the National Academy of Music in Sofia, following a school profile in programming, and works confidently across graphic design, video editing and coding (SQL and C#). She communicates easily with children and speaks Bulgarian and English.

All year

The same Oxford English, multiplied all year. It continues online and builds towards exams and a university place – on campus and at home.

The place

A 2,080-acre protected reserve, 200 m from the Black Sea and 30 minutes from Varna. Room to study, train, and rest by the sea.

Safety

An enclosed campus, guarded around the clock, with CCTV and entry by pass only. Medical staff on site, day and night. Small groups, with close supervision at the beach and pool.
